Explore the Americraft Legacy

From St. Paul to Marietta, our story spans decades and miles, with an enduring fondness for folding customer service and quality together.

Americraft’s history traces back to 1907, when Kaplan Paper Box opened its doors in St. Paul, MN. In 1983, Color Carton Company (CCC) was incorporated in Missouri with the goal of delivering expertly crafted products and excellent customer service. Over the 80s, we grew significantly with the acquisition of Kaplan Paper Box; Southland Paper Company in Memphis, TN; Prince Packaging in Lowell, MA; and Sturgis Packaging Company in Sturgis, MI.

In 1992 we became Americraft Carton, Inc. Over the next decade, we added Sara Lee’s folding carton plant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Kerr Printing Company in Norwalk, Ohio to our growing operations.

In 2013 we solidified our unique position as one of the largest independent, non-integrated paperboard folding carton manufacturers in North America with the business and certain assets of Simkins Industries, adding a plant in Marietta, GA and customers from a broad range of industries.

Today, Americraft Carton is the leading privately owned folding carton producer in North America and the largest independent user of paperboard in the U.S. in an increasingly consolidated marketplace. Our customers rely on our commitment to delivering the highest quality concept and package design, production, warehousing and inventory management – what we like to call the Americraft Experience.
